ABRSM Theory Grade 1-8
Brian offers ABRSM Music Theory lessons for all ages and abilities. Highly experienced in teaching the ABRSM Grade exam syllabus, with a current strike rate of 100% of his students passing the Grade 5 exam first time.
Orchestral training/ workshop
Experienced in conducting and working with youth orchestras/ community/ amateur orchestras of all levels worldwide. Brian has conducted many orchestra workshops, repertoire ranging from full acts of Wagner operas to Beethoven symphonies.
ABRSM Aural training
Brian teaches ABRSM Aural across the grades, specialising in the higher Grade 6-8 exams. Students of all ages and stages of development welcomed. Current strike rate of 100% students obtaining Merit or above in the aural section of their Grade 8 exams.
Brass instruments teaching
Brian graduated from the Guildhall School of Music with First Class Honours, studying Trombone with Prof Eric Crees (Principal Trombone Royal Opera House) and Peter Moore (Principal Trombone London Symphony Orchestra) Brian teaches all brass instruments for all ages, specialising in lower brass instruments (Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba).
